Daniela Maia (artist)

Olá olá!! 

Hoje quero mostrar-vos um bocadinho do trabalho da Daniela Maia. Ela é artista plástica e minha amiga e dia 29 de Março participará de uma exposição coletiva comigo e outras 2 raparigas (podem espreitar o post sobre a exposição AQUI).

A Daniela tem 21 anos, nasceu na Maia e é portuguesa. Estudou Artes Visuais no secundário e agora é minha colega nas Belas Artes do Porto, onde frequenta o ramo de multimédia do curso Artes Plásticas.

Today I whant to show you Daniela Maia´s work. She is a plastic artist and my friend and in 29 of March she will participate in a collective exebition with me and 2 more girls (see it HERE). 

She is a 21 years old Portuguese, studied visual arts in school and now she is my college at fbaup.

Participou numa exposição coletiva na Biblioteca Municipal de Paredes, em 2012 e noutra mais recente na faculdade de Direito.

A fotografia tem sido uma grande aliada para o seu trabalho pessoal.

"Um gosto que tomou forma assim que usei pela primeira vez uma máquina digital: 

o seu peso, o modo como esta prendeu a minha atenção foi algo, 

sem tentar ser lamechas, especial."

She took part in a collective exebition in Bilioteca Municipal de Paredes, in 2012 and in another one in Faculdade de direito. 

Photography has been a great ally to her personal work.

"A taste took form when I fist used a digital camera. 

Its weight, the way it took my attention was something especial"

Para alem da fotografia o seu interesse têm se voltado para o cinema e video, especialmente para a parte da produção e espera que este se torne uma constante na sua vida.

Olá,

Mais uma vez quero falar-vos de um fotografo com o qual falei recentemente. O Sean Kobi Sandoval, ele tem 20 anos e é da California, Huntington Beach.

A sua aspiração era tornar-se um cineasta e tropeçou no mundo da fotografia por um mero acaso, enquanto filmava com câmaras fotográficas.

Once again, I want to talk to you about a photographer which whom I spoke recently. Sean Kobi Sandoval, he has 20 years hold and he is from California, Huntington Beach.

His aspiration was to become a filmmaker but he stumbled in photography while filming with photography cameras. 

Encontrou a câmara de filmar, que viria a usar durante muitos anos, numa viagem com a família e conheceu a arte, o photoshop, o flicker e a fotografia conceptual através das aulas de uma professora muito importante para o seu percurso, chamada Miss. Galileo.

No verão após a sua graduação, escreveu, filmou e editou o seu primeiro filme, no entanto, o stresse de ter de confiar em tanta gente e os grandes custos fizeram-no focar-se mais na fotografia que se tornou como uma fuga para a dor, um caminhar para uma nova luz.

Ganhou um concurso do fotógrafo David Talley chamado "Conceptual Collaboration e foi expor na Noruega, onde conheceu este fotógrafo do qual sempre gostou. 

Este abriu-lhe portas para novos projetos e deu-lhe a conhecer novos fotógrafos e amigos, com os quais pode trabalhar, mergulhando a fundo na fotografia conceptual.

He found the recording camera, that he had used for many years, in a trip with his family and he learn about the art, the photoshop, fliker and the conceptual photography all from the classes of a very important teacher in his roots, miss Galileo.

In the sumer after his graduation he wrote, edited and recorded is first film, although the stress that he gain from trusting in so many people and the great costs made him to focous more in the photography that became a escape from his pain and a path to a new light.

He gain the contest from David Talley named "Conceptual Collaboration" and made an exhibit in Norway, where he met this photographer whom he allways liked.

He open the doors for his projects and gave him to know new photographers and friends, with whom he could work with, delving into the art of conceptual photography.

Laima Vainiņa (photography)

Olá,

Esta semana trago-vos o trabalho da fotografa Laima Vainiņa, ela vive em Riga, na Letónia. Tem 25 anos e estuda Fotografia Contemporânea na Internacional Summer School of photography (ISSP) e, neste momento, está a preparar a exposição final do curso.

Hi!

This week, I talked with Laima Vainina, she live's in Riga, Latvia. She is 25 years old and She is  studying contemporary photography at The International Summer School of Photography (ISSP) and, in the moment, she's working on preparation for schools final exhibition.

Ela contou-me que os seus interesses pela fotografia englobam o auto-retrato o uso da longa exposição e retratos íntimos, emocionais e intensos, o que a ajuda a expressar o seu mundo interior e as suas emoções. Para isso, usa-se a si e aos irmãos como modelos, o que torna a sua fotografia honesta e verdadeira.

Ela também deu uma dica para quem está a começar, ser paciente e tentar TUDO.

She told me that her current interest in photography encompasses self-portraiture, emotional, intense portraits of closest people and the use of long exposure that helps to express her inner world and emotions. Using herself and her brother and sister as models, which makes her photography veritable and honest.

For young photographers she suggests to be patient and try everything.

In a final note, she told that arte is a form of expression, and photography is fully capable of being a medium of that expression. When a person takes a photo they are displaying the image exactly the way they want it to be seen, they express their own emotions on the canvas and they send a message to the viewer making him feel the same. She argues that not everyone can make such a photo, that's why it requires skills and that's why it can be considered as art.

Numa nota final esclareceu que acha fotografia uma arte porque permite que o fotografo se expresse, assim como qualquer outro artista. 

Quando uma pessoa tira uma fotografia, está a mostrar o seu ponto de vista, exatamente da maneira como quer que os outros o vejam, expreçando assim as suas emoções na tela fazendo o espectador sentir o mesmo. Acrescenta ainda que nem toda a gente consegue esse resultado e que para isso é preciso habilidade.
